Spitfire Summer Camp is coming up!

We've heard that the third time's a charm, which is good because we are about to host our third year of Spitfire Summer Camp!

Last year will be hard to beat... But! As we gear up to make more ✨Spitfire Summer Magic✨, we still need a few volunteers and some supplies to make our camp a success. Read on to learn how you can help!

Supply Donations

We were completely blown away by our community's generosity last year. This year's camp features new lessons, books, and activities -- to help us knock out our camp shopping, visit our Amazon wish list or consider making a donation. THANK YOU!

Part-time Adult Volunteers

Our youth staffing is complete, but we do need some part-time help from adults, as well! Specifically we need:

• Sunday, 8/9 from 1pm - 5pm: Setup Support to help us bring our things over to our camp location in Alexandria and/or to set up our space for the first day of camp

• Monday-Friday, 8/10 - 8/14 from 11:30-1pm: Lunch Volunteer(s) to microwave cup noodles, refill water bottles, and serve meals that are generously provided by local restaurants. You do not have to volunteer for all five days!

• Monday, 8/10 from 9 - 12 pm: Carnival volunteers to help us set up, staff, and take down our opening day carnival!

• Monday, 8/10 from 12:30 - 3 pm: Craft party volunteers to help us set up, staff, and take down our opening day craft party!

• Tuesday, 8/11 from 12 - 4:30pm: Water Day Volunteer(s) to help us set up, staff, and take down our water play stations!

• Thursday, 8/13 from 8:30am - 1pm: Field Trip Chapperone(s) to accompany us to the National Building Museum!

• Friday, 8/14 from 12pm - 4:30pm: Slumber Party Games Volunteer(s) to help us set up, staff, and take down our slumber party games stations!

• Friday, 8/14 from 4:30 - Finish (approx 7pm): Break Down Support to help us pack up the space, get things tidy, and bring materials back to our office <3
